A serial flasher is targeting walkers along a scenic Dearne waterway.

Police are hunting a pervert after three reports of indecent exposure along the River Don between Mexborough and Swinton.

In the latest incident, a 43-year-old woman was walking along the river path from Station Road towards Leach Road, Mexborough, when a man flashed her.

A spokeswoman for South Yorkshire Police said: “As she walked down steps at the railway station she saw a man on the opposite side of the canal who had his trousers down and was touching himself.

“The woman walked away and saw a cyclist coming towards her. She believes the man exposing himself moved away when he saw the cyclist coming.”

There have been two similar incidents prior to this latest one on Monday, June 30, at 9.20am,

The offender is described as white, around 40 to 50-years-old, of average build, between 5ft 8ins and 5ft 10ins tall, with short dark, which had a lot of grey in it.

He was wearing a black t-shirt with a collar and blue jeans.
