British Transport Police are appealing for more information on a disturbance created by a small group of Rovers fans on a train journey to Doncaster this afternoon.

The incident occurred on a Trans Pennine Express train bound for Cleethorpes, which arrived at Doncaster train station at approximately 4.50pm, when the group of men departed the train.

Inspector Neil Hubbs said: “We understand the disturbance was between a small group of Rovers fans who had been drinking and a female.

The argument started because of a bag being left on a seat.”

He added: “We ask anyone with information on this incident to call us on 0800 405040, quoting reference number 355 of May 3, 2014.”
