Off road bike seized as rider abandons it in alleyway whilst fleeing from police

The bike will be turned into cans following a recent increase in complaints of antisocial behavior involving off-road bikes in Doncaster.

Doncaster Central Neighbourhood Police Team seized an off-road bike on Wednesday, May 27 in Balby.

A spokesman said: “An off-road bike was seized on Anelay Road last night.

“We've had various complaints of antisocial behaviour in relation to off-road bikes in the area.

“Last night the rider abandoned the bike in an alleyway after fleeing from officers.

“It has been recovered and will soon be turned in to tin cans.”

Since expanding at the beginning of May, they have issued 48 warnings, seized 18 vehicles – with a combined value of more than £35,200 – and arrested five people.
