Police storm Doncaster housing estate after men spotted breaking into garages

Dozens of officers were deployed to Cantley after reports of men attempting to break into garages near Cantley Park.

A South Yorkshire Police spokesman said: Police were called at 3.35pm yesterday following reports of a burglary.

“It is understood that persons unknown were forcing entry to garages in the Aintree Avenue area.”

Officers spent several hours at the scene investigating and conducting searches to locate those involved.
