The car, a dark-coloured saloon, then reversed from Kenmare Crescent and travelled onto Sandringham Road before turning right onto Evelyn Avenue.

DC Rachel Young, investigating the incident, said it is believed that those involved may be known to each other.

She said CCTV footage has been examined but detectives still want to hear from anyone who may have dash cam footage of the incident or car involved.

She said: “We are still looking into the circumstances surrounding this incident. From reviewing nearby CCTV footage, we have reason to believe that the people involved may be known to each other.
