Police make fourth arrest in murder probe in Doncaster
A fourth arrest has been made today over a murder in Doncaster.
South Yorkshire Police said a teenage boy is being held on suspicion of the murder of 51-year-old Jerry Appicella, whose body was found in his home in Craganour Place, Denaby Main, last Sunday.
Officers made the discovery after responding to calls of concerns for the welfare of the occupant.
Yesterday, three teenage girls were arrested on suspicion of murder and have since been released under investigation.
Detectives believe Mr Appicella was involved in an incident with a group of people in an alleyway leading to Hickleton Street, Denaby Main, on Tuesday, December 3.
He then walked home, where his body was found last weekend.
A post mortem examination revealed he died of head injuries.
Anyone with information should call South Yorkshire Police on 101 and quote incident number 422 of December 14.
