Police issue warning after string of attempted child abductions in Doncaster

Police have issued a warning to parents after a string of attempted child abductions in Doncaster.

South Yorkshire Police say there have been a number of incidents with drivers trying to entice children into their vehicles, with a number of different cars involved.

Peter Gilliland, Doncaster PCSO said: “Please be aware there has been a small number of reported incidents involving people in vehicles trying to entice children to get in.

"There is no clear pattern - a white van, silver Vauxhall, silver Mercedes and silver VW Golf have been mentioned.

Police in Doncaster have issued a warning over attempted child abductions in the town.

"Please be vigilant, pass on the stranger danger advice to children and report all incidents.”

It is not clear which parts of Doncaster the attempted abductions have taken place in.
