South Yorkshire Police today confirmed that they were called at 1.35pm on Sunday, May 30, to concerns for the safety of a man in Copley Road in the town.

A spokesman said: “Sadly, the 47-year-old was pronounced dead when officers arrived on scene.

"There were no suspicious circumstances and a report was prepared for the Coroner.”
