Police are appealing for a woman to come forward to help them with their enquiries into investigations of theft after elderly victims have been targeted.

Two incidents of theft have been reported by elderly women in Doncaster and police have released a CCTV image of a woman they are keen to speak to as part of their enquiries.At around 4pm, on Saturday, February 12, the first woman was shopping in Aldi, on Barnsley Road, Doncaster, when her purse was allegedly taken from her bag.

A card from her purse has then been used to purchase a number of items, including Champagne, from the store, according to police.

Later, at around 6.45pm a second woman reportedly had her purse taken from her bag as she shopped in Asda on Gliwice Way, Doncaster.Officers are appealing for the woman, or anyone who recognises her, to get in touch.Please call 101 quoting crime reference number 14/34460/20 and 14/34408/20.
