Police appeal to find man wanted in connection with Doncaster robbery

Police have put out an appeal to find a man who is wanted in connection with a robbery in Doncaster, earlier this year.

Officers say Ryan Shaw, aged 32, is wanted in connection with a robbery which took place in Carcroft on February 26. They have issued a picture to try to help track him down,

And they say he is known to spend time in Mexborough, Balby, Swinton and Doncaster town centre.

In addition to the Carcroft robbery, Shaw is also wanted for a number of cases of criminal damage, burglary and stalking offences which occurred in Swinton, Rotherham, between 16 February and 16 March.

He is also wanted in connection with another robbery, which was also reported in Swinton in February

In addition, he is wanted on recall to prison.

Despite ongoing work to trace Shaw, including enquiries at addresses he is linked to, he has not yet been found and police said that that was why they are now asking for the public’s help.

A police spokesman said: “He is described as white, 5ft 8ins tall, with a slim build, brown hair and a beard. He is known to frequent Mexborough, Balby, Swinton and Doncaster town centre.

“Have you seen him? Do you know where he might be?

“If you can help, please call 101 quoting incident number 283 of 16 March 2021.
