Police appeal after windows shot out at Doncaster property

Police are appealing for information after shots were fired at a property in Wheatley on Monday night.

South Yorkshire Police, said: “We received a call at 9:48pm on March 29 for reports of a property being shot at on Broxholme Lane in Wheatley, Doncaster.

“Officers attended the scene and found damage to the windows of the property consistent with that of a firearms discharge.

“Anyone with information that can assist officers with their enquiries please call 101 quoting incident number 1077 of 29 March 2021.”

Earlier today Broxholme Lane had been sealed off by police.

This also effected Copley Road and Penistone Street.

In related incidents police were called to Bentley Railway Station yesterday evening.

British Transport Police said: “British Transport Police were called to Bentley railway station at 10.12pm yesterday (29 March) following reports of a trespasser on the line.

“Officers attended, and enquiries into this incident remain ongoing."
