Pedestrian suffers life-threatening injuries after being hit by Land Rover

A pedestrian is in a life-threatening condition after being hit by a car in Rotherham.

The 56-year-old man was hit by a green Land Rover Discovery in Wentworth at around 2.20pm on Friday, February 6.

The vehicle was travelling along Coaley Lane towards Wentworth when it struck the man about 100 yards from the junction with Smithey Bridge Lane.

The 30-year-old driver of the Land Rover was not injured.

Police are appealing for information and witnesses are asked to call 101, quoting incident number 516 of February 6, 2015.
