A North Lincolnshire man is recovering in hospital after he was attacked with a bottle, which was said to be smashed over his head and then used to stab him in the neck.
Witnesses are being sought to the attack, which happened between 5.45pm and 6.10pm on Friday, July 31, in Diana Street, Scunthorpe.
The victim said he was getting into his vehicle when he was approached by a man asking for a lift. When he refused, he was attacked.
The suspect is described as white, 5ft 6” tall and of medium build, wearing T-shirt and shorts.
A 31-year-old Scunthorpe man was later arrested and released on bail pending further enquiries.
The victim remains in Hull Royal Infirmary, where he is said to be in a stable condition.
