Officers were called to a hotel in the Lakeside area of the town at around 2pm on Friday, December 18 following a call made to the ambulance service that a 43-year-old man had died.

The incident is being treated as suspicious and an investigation has been launched in order to ascertain the exact circumstances around his death.

A 41-year-old has been arrested on suspicion of murder.
