The action, on Friday June 26, followed officers stopping a car which appeared to be suspicious, on Armthorpe Lane, Edenthorpe, in the early hours of the morning.

Cash and suspected class A drugs were found in the vehicle, and two men and a woman who were inside were arrested.

As a result, houses on Thirlmere Gardens, Edenthorpe, and Wellington Street, Stainforth, were raided later the same morning.

The raids resulted in a second woman also being arrested, and we are continuing our investigations.

They were the latest drugs raid to have been carried out in the Doncaster East neighbourhood this month.

Eary in June, a house was raided under a warrant at Large Square. Some drugs were found and two women were arrested on that occasion.

Crime levels are pretty much back to normal after figures dipped earlier in lockdown, and we have attended reports of antisocial behaviour and gatherings in Jubilee Park, Hatfield, and Glass Park, Kirk Sandall.

As hot weather arrived, we also found ourselves attending the lagoon at Hatfield Woodhouse.

Hot days attract people to areas of water like that, and we have sent patrols both to keep an eye on concerns over social distancing, and to watch out for any dangerous open water swimming in the cold waters. Community support officers are going out and giving advice. We have had reports of more people there in the recent hot weather.

July is set to see the re-opening of pubs, and our officers will be working slightly altered shifts when that comes in.

We are working with local landlords to find out which pubs will be reopening and what problems they expect to see, and how they are planning to operate. We will be looking to deal with any public order problems that may arise, and to support licencees in making sure the public adheres to social distancing.

Finally, before lockdown, there were problems over thefts of catalytic converters from cars. We have had a few again. If anyone sees anything suspicious around cars, please report it to us.
