A teenager who has gone missing in Scotland could be in Doncaster, police have said.

Officers want to trace Marcela Tokerova, 17, who has been missing from Elvanfoot in South Lanarkshire, since Wednesday.

Marcela, who is Slovakian, moved to Lanarkshire only a week ago. She has previously stayed in Dumfries and Galloway but also resided in Doncaster for a number of years where it is believed she may have returned and where she has friends and family.

Marcela is 4 ft 11 in height, with fair/blonde shoulder length hair and when last seen was wearing a short black glitter dress and navy blue Nike trainers.

Sgt Grant Wilson said: "Although we believe that Marcela may have travelled back to Doncaster, she was reported missing so we have to make sure she is ok.
