Posting on Facebook, a tattoo artist working at the shop said: “Everyone at the shop is a bit shook up. Just had a masked man attempt to rob everyone with a big knife and wrench.

“Police are out doing their work trying to find him. Everyone in the shop, including all clients, dealt with the situation great. The man was all in black and was wearing a balaclava. If anyone has any info, please call the police.”

He added that the man was last seen heading down Bentley Road and behind the church.

“We believe he got changed into an orange top and took his ski mask off so if anyone around Bentley Road or even in Bentley has CCTV could you please check. It would be much appreciated,” he said.
