A police e-fit has been released of a man wanted over a sex attack on a girl in Doncaster.

Officers want to speak to the man over an attack on a girl in Doncaster town centre during the October half term holiday last year.

The victim was walking along Frenchgate when a man approached the girl and asked her to walk with him to West Laith Gate, where he sexually assaulted her.

Detective Constable Julie Black, the investigating officer, said: “The young girl is understandably effected by this highly traumatic incident and came forward in December to report what had happened.

“Extensive enquiries to try and trace the suspect have since been carried out and we are now appealing for your help to try and identify the man in this e-fit image.

“The victim continues to receive support from specialist officers and I would like to commend her for having the courage to come forward and tell us what happened.

“Do you recognise the man or know who he could be?”

Call South Yorkshire Police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
