Man stabbed in Maltby


A man was taken to hospital after being stabbed in Maltby.

Emergency services were called at around 1.30pm on Wednesday, April 15, to Dunns Dale in Maltby following reports a 23-year-old man had been found seriously injured.

The man was taken to hospital to be treated for a suspected stab wound injury and has now been released.

Officers are asking for anyone who may have been in the area at the time, or who may have witnessed anything, to please make contact with police.

Matthew Liversidge, 26, of Park View, Maltby, has been charged with grievous bodily harm and possession of an offensive weapon in connection with the incident and appeared at Rotherham Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday 21 April.

He has been bailed by the courts until his next appearance at Sheffield Crown Court at a later date.
