a MAN sustained a broken jaw after being beaten in an unprovoked attack

Police are appealing for witnesses to the assault that happened after the 27-year-old man left his home address on Drury Lane, Tickhill, to investigate loud banging noises outside.

He went down into the alleyway at the side of the house where he was surround by a group of approximately nine young males.

He asked what they were doing and one of the males verbally abused him before punching him, breaking his jaw in two places.

The male who is believed to have assaulted the man is described as around 16-years-old and white.

He is about 5ft 9ins of a normal to stocky build.

He was wearing a red hooded top with a white zip and two white tassels.

A second male within the group is also described as around 16-years-old and white with short, spikey black hair.

He is about 6ft tall and of a stocky build. He was wearing a navy blue waist length jacket with a zip.

Police have only just released details of the incident that happened on Saturday, February 4, at approximately 7.30pm.
