Man fighting for life after Doncaster pub attack

A MAN was left fighting for his life after being violently attacked following a poker night at a Doncaster pub.

The 37-year-old, from Carcroft, was beaten up outside the Grove Inn, York Road, in the early hours of Friday morning, according to police.

He suffered serious head injuries and was taken to Doncaster Royal Infirmary where his condition is still said to be critical.

Officers said he had been in the pub at a poker evening before he was assaulted by another man close to the pub’s car park.

The incident happened around 1.15am.

Police want to talk to anyone who was drinking in the pub on that night.
