Man in court over bid to smuggle £10,000 worth of drugs into Doncaster prison

A man was due in court over an attempt to smuggle £10,000 worth of drugs into a Doncaster prison.

Nathan Williams, aged 32, of School Crescent, Dewsbury, has been charged in connection with bringing illicit items into prison.He was arrested while officers from Doncaster’s Prison Crime Unit were carrying out searches at HMP Lindholme.

Williams is accused of attempted to pass a package of cannabis resin and Spice to an inmate.

He is due at Doncaster Magistrates’ Court later today.
