A man at the centre of a murder probe in Doncaster has been named as Leighton Owen.

The 39-year-old was found dead in a flat in Hatfield House, Grove Place, Balby, shortly after 11pm on Wednesday, August 26.

A post-mortem examination proved inconclusive and further tests are under way to determine the exact cause of Mr Owen's death.

Two women, aged 45 and 40, and a 21-year-old man, were arrested on suspicion of murder and later released under investigation as enquiries continue.

In a statement, Mr Owen’s family said: “Leighton was a kind loving person who will be sadly missed by his family and friends, he may be out of our lives but will always be in our hearts.

“He can sleep easy now he has been reunited with his mum and dad at long last.”
