Man arrested in Doncaster for carrying meat cleaver in town centre
A man who was spotted ‘running down’ Baxter Gate in Doncaster with a meat cleaver has been arrested.

Police were called to Baxter Gate at 10.10am this morning (Sunday July 26) following reports that a man was walking around with a meat cleaver.
A 35-year-old man was located on Imperial Crescent and arrested on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon.
A witness said the man was ‘running’ with the weapon before being ‘wrestled to the ground’ by police.
He remains in police custody.
