Man arrested after assaulting two police officers in Doncaster residential street

A man has been arrested after two police officers were assaulted in a residential street in a Doncaster suburb.

Officers were notified of an incident in Copley Crescent, Scawbsy on Sunday, just before 8pm.

Officers attended reports of a domestic incident at a property.

As the officers approached the man, he allegedly assaulted them causing minor injuries to both the officers.

A 33-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm on a constable. The man was later released under investigation.
