Man, 21, arrested after Doncaster road smash which left six people injured

A man has been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving while under the influence of drink and drugs after a serious Doncaster road accident which left six people injured.

The 21-year-old was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving following a serious collision on Carr House Road yesterday.

At 2.35pm, it is reported that a grey BMW 1 series and a red Audi A3 were involved in a collision close to the junction with Danum Road.

It is understood that the BMW left the road, colliding with some railings and a tree before being involved in a collision with a third vehicle, a grey Hyundai coupe.

A 33-year-old man driving the BMW and a 27-year-old female passenger in the BMW were taken to hospital with serious injuries.

A 21-year-old man driving the Audi and a 22-year-old male passenger in the Audi suffered minor injuries.

The driver of the Hyundai, a 50-year-old man, and a 70-year-old female passenger, also suffered minor injuries.

A 21-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and driving whilst unfit through drink or drugs.

He has been released under investigation while enquiries continue.

Witnesses to the collision, especially motorists with dashcam footage, are asked to contact police on 101 quoting incident number 392 of 31 March 2020.
