A man and a 15-year-old boy have been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving after two people died when a blazing car crashed into a house in Doncaster.
A third person, a woman, has been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.
Police investigating the incident in Branton on Tuesday afternoon made the arrests on Thursday, August 27, in connection with the incident.
A South Yorkshire Police statement said: “A 21-year-old man from the Doncaster area has been arrested in the South Wales area on suspicion of death by dangerous driving.
“A 15-year-old boy from the Doncaster area has also been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.
“A 21 year-old-woman from the Doncaster area has been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.”
Two men died following a collision between a car and a house on Poppyfields Way in Branton on Tuesday,August 25.
A third man remains in a critical condition in hospital.
Enquiries are ongoing and police continue to seek information about a second vehicle believed to have been involved with the collision.
Anyone with information should contact 101 quoting incident number 451 of Tuesday 25 August.
Officers are no longer searching for the two unaccounted for males believed to have been in the car at the time of the collision.
