Look at the huge drugs stash police found when they searched a van near a Doncaster estate

Officers looked inside the van after seeing suspicious behaviour around the vehicle, after the driver had fled the scene.

The vehicle and drugs have been recovered and enquiries to trace the suspects are ongoing.

Doncaster West Neighbourhoods inspector Adrian Luscombe said response team officers who had been patrolling near to Toll Bar had seen a van and car behaving suspiciously.

He said: “The car drove away at speed and the occupants of the van ran off. The officers found a significant amount of freshly harvested cannabis in the van. The car was located outside a nearby address and recovered. Enquiries are ongoing to identify offenders.”

In a separate incident, police raided a house Bentley Road, on Wednesday morning (April 29), finding almost 200 cannabis plants, and arresting a man.
