Investigation launched after man attempted to force woman into vehicle in Doncaster

Police are investigating the assault and attempted abduction of a woman on Broxholme Lane in Doncaster.

The incident happened at around 8am on December 20, when the victim, aged 21, was approached and verbally abused by a man.

He then attempted to force her into his vehicle, before members of the public intervened.

Detective Constable Della O’Horo, investigating, said: “We would really like to talk to those members of the public who stopped to help the victim.

“We are trying to build a fuller picture of what happened that morning and their assistance is vital.

“We don’t have much detail about these people, but we think the woman who helped was walking her dog. I want to reassure you that we just need you to help with our enquiries.”
