Hunt for Mexborough pharmacy robber

Police are trying to trace an armed man who robbed a pharmacy in Mexborough.

He entered a pharmacy on Wath Road at 12.50pm on Friday, June 21, and is believed to have threatened a member of staff with a screwdriver to give him money from the till.

The member of staff handed over cash from the till and the man then left the store.

He had his face covered by the white jacket, which was zipped up with the hood pulled over. He was also wearing beige coloured trousers and was holding a carrier bag. He is around 5ft 8ins tall and is of a slim build with a local accent.

Anyone who believes they may have witnessed the incident, or believes they may have seen a man matching the images or description in the area at the time is asked to contact the police on 101, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111, quoting incident number 508 of 21/06/2013.
