ANOTHER Doncaster resident has fallen victim of cash card ‘skimmers’ who cloned his details to steal nearly £2,000.
Police have now released this CCTV image of a man they would like to speak in connection with a series of thefts which took place over three months.
A 51-year-old had £1,790 pilfered from his account in 14 separate transactions. All the money was withdrawn from ATMs across the borough.
The first withdrawal was on Friday, August 5, and the last was from Halifax in Market Place, Doncaster town centre, at about 8.35am on Monday, October 24.
Officers, who have only just released details about the thefts, are warning people to be vigilant and particularly look out for suspicious looking devices or loose wires attached to cash machines.
Previous card cloning incidents have happened at Scawthorpe Post Office.
Anyone who recognises the man pictured should call police on 101.
