Guns are stolen in Doncaster house burglary as police launch investigation

Police have launched an investigation after a number of guns were stolen in a raid on a Doncaster house.

South Yorkshire Police officers received a call at 11.51pm on 25 April following reports of a burglary at a property on Churchfield Road, Campsall.

The resident of the property, a registered firearms keeper, reported that two offenders gained access and stole three firearms from the premises along with a quantity of jewellery.

Jayne Forrest, Chief Inspector of Doncaster Neighbourhood Police Team said: “We appreciate that incidents of this nature may cause concern locally and extensive enquiries are now on-going to piece together the circumstances of the burglary.
