Flowers have been left at a crash scene in Doncaster where a man died in a collision as he crossed a road.

Carl Queen, aged 34, died after he was struck by silver Jaguar XF car as he crossed Wheatley Hall Road at around 11.15pm on Thursday, July 30.

South Yorkshire Police said he suffered serious head injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police officers investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident are appealing for witnesses or anyone with dash cam footage to come forward.

A fundraising appeal has been set up on the on the Go Fund Me online crowdfunding site to help with funeral costs, with over £5,000 raised so far.
