Five injured and two cars and house damaged in mass brawl on Doncaster street

Five people were injured and cars and a house were damaged after a mass brawl broke out in a Doncaster street.

Police were called to Abbott Street in Hexthorpe last night following reports of a man and woman arguing in the road.

A number of people joined in the mass brawl – with eyewitnesses suggesting as up to many as 30 to 40 people may have been involved.

South Yorkshire Police described the incident as ‘a large disturbance’ and added: “A man and woman had been arguing in the street, before a number of people joined them on the street and a fight broke out.

“Five people received minor injuries and there was damage to two cars and the windows of one property on the street.”

Officers are continuing with their enquiries and anybody who may have witnessed the incident and can help with enquiries is asked to contact the police on 101 quoting incident number 839 of the 23 November 2020.
