Hide AdRecords show that, when breathalysed, Mihiata, 32, of Mount Pleasant, Baldby, Doncaster, blew 68mg of alcohol to 100ml of breath, when the legal limit is 33mg - meaning he was more than double the legal drink-drive limit.
Mihiata was banned from driving for a total of 18 months, but the disqualification will be reduced by a total of 18 weeks if he completes a recognised drink-drive awareness course by September 8 next year.
He was also fined £353 by magistrates and ordered to pay £85 in prosecution costs and a £35 victim surcharge.
