Drink driver who tried to flee police in Doncaster slapped with lengthy driving ban
A drink driver who tried to flee police in Doncaster has been fined and handed a lengthy driving ban.
Police stopped the driver of the van in Intake last Friday and yesterday he appeared before Doncaster Magistrates Court.
A spokesman for Doncaster Central Neighbourhood Policing Team said: “He pleaded guilty to drink driving, driving with no insurance and failing to stop.
“He has been given a four year disqualification from driving and fined £400.”
Announcing the driver’s arrest last week, a spokesman said: “He quickly ran out of talent and tried to run from the pursuing officers instead.
“Unfortunately for him his lack of a ability to run was only matched by his lack of ability to drive.
“He has been arrested for various driving offences and the van is being recovered.”
