Doncaster owner’s stolen moped discovered – but in another town

Police have finally uncovered a moped that was stolen from its owner in Doncaster – but some 25 miles away in aother town.

It was found by Humberside police when they carried out checks on the bike in Crosby, Scunthorpe.

A spokesman said: “A moped on false plates discovered hidden away on Robinson Close, with checks revealing it was stolen from Doncaster in April. Any information regarding the theft or use of this vehicle, please ring 101 and quote log 472 090521 or contact CrimeStoppers anonymously.”
