Doncaster nurse's anger after finding car smashed with huge rock at end of 12 hour shift

The nurse, who works at Doncaster Royal Infirmary, made the discovery as she went to her BMW car at the end of a night shift.
Pictures show a rear window of the car – which was parked in a hospital staff car park – put through with a giant ornamental stone, which was left on the back seat of the vehicle by the vandals.

Hide AdThe rear of the car – including a child's car seat – was left showered with shards of glass and debris in the sickening attack.
Posting about the incident on Facebook and sharing the photos, she wrote: “Not ideal after a 12.5 hour night shift In the hospital grounds! Not a fan of the NHS then.”
It is the latest in a string of attack on vehicles belonging to NHS in Doncaster during the coronavirus pandemic.
In April, a nurse had her car destroyed by vandals outside Doncaster Royal Infirmary, while cars belonging to GPs at Askern’s Lakeside Practice were also attacked by yobs last year.

Hide AdA spokesman for Doncaster and Bassetlaw NHS Teaching Hospitals Foundation Trust said: “It is hugely disheartening to see NHS’ workers vehicles targeted in this way.
"It shows an astonishing lack of respect, particularly given the challenges we have faced throughout the past number of months. We continue to work with the police, as well as enhance security measures across our hospital sites.”
