Doncaster man sustains serious head injury after intervening in pub fight

A 51-year-old man has sustained a serious head injury, after being reportedly assaulted during an altercation in a Doncaster pub.

The incident is believed to have happened at around 10.30pm on Saturday, January 24 when there was an altercation between a number of people in the Ingram Arms pub, High Street, Hatfield.

It is alleged that the 51-year-old man attempted to intervene and was reportedly assaulted by a group of men.

He was taken to hospital to be treated for a serious head injury.

Two men, aged 29 and 22-years-old, and a 17-year-old boy, were arrested in connection with the incident and bailed pending further enquiries.

Officers would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the assault.
