Doncaster man jailed for harassing and stalking ex-partner and breaking into her home

A Doncaster man has been jailed for a string of offences against his ex – including harassment and stalking.

Julian Brennan, aged 35, of Summerfields Drive, Doncaster , was jailed for two years after pleading guilty to burglary, criminal damage, harassment and stalking.

Sheffield Crown Court heard that he broke into and ransacked an ex-partner’s house on New Year’s Day this year.

Following the raid, Brennan harassed and stalked his ex-partner by sending her intimidating messages and letters.

PC James Housley, from the Doncaster East Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “We take reports of domestic violence seriously and work hard to ensure those vulnerable in our community are protected.“I would like to commend the actions of the victim in this case, her bravery and determination has helped secure a prosecution.“We will listen to you and we will take action, for anyone who is suffering in an abusive relationship please contact us.”Brennan was also handed a restraining order to protect his victim and help her rebuild her life.
