Doncaster man due in court charged with attacking police officer at Taco Bell

A Doncaster man is due to appear in court charged with assaulting a police officer during an incident at one of the town’s Taco Bell branches.

Ryan Colclough, 25, has been charged with assault on an emergency service worker and criminal damage following an incident on Wednesday 24 June.

South Yorkshire Police were called out to the restaurant following the incident earlier this year.

A force statement said: “At 10:50pm officers attended the Taco Bell drive through at the Herten Triangle retail park following reports of a man acting drunk and disorderly in a public place.

During an arrest attempt, an officer was assaulted and sustained injuries to his face and damage to his glasses.

Colclough will appear before Doncaster Magistrates’ Court on 24 November 2020.

The fast food chain also has a branch in Doncaster’s Frenchagte Centre with plans to open a third restaurant near Thorne also in the pipeline.
