Doncaster man caught with craft knife at town railway station

A homeless Doncaster man has been given a suspended prison sentence after he was caught in possession of a craft knife in a public place, court records show.

Keenan Jay Butler, 22, of no fixed address, was caught with the weapon at Doncaster Railway Station on October 14, Doncaster Magistrates’ Court heard on November 11.

He was given an 18 week prison sentence, suspended for 12 months and must also attend 15 supervision days with the Probation Service.

He must also pay £85 costs and a £128 victim surcharge and magistrates ordered that the weapon be destroyed.
