Doncaster man assaulted woman, damaged her property and harassed her

Luke Ronald Beardshaw appeared before Doncaster Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, January 13.
Records show that the initial assault took place on Chadwick Road, Doncaster, on September 13, 2019.

Hide AdOn the same day he also smashed the woman’s mobile phone in a related incident, and the following day, Beardshaw stole a pedal cycle belonging to a different woman in the Moorends area of Doncaster.
The 34-year-old, of Wembley Road, Moorends, Doncaster, admitted assault by beating, criminal damage and theft at an earlier hearing in June last year.
In seperate charges brought before the court, on November 25, Beardshaw damaged a UPVC door at the woman’s home and harassed her between November 24 and December 6, by repeatedly turning up at her home “causing her distress”, records show.
He admitted these offences when he appeared before the court on Wednesday.

Hide AdHe was given a 16-week prison sentence, but magistrates suspended the term for 12 months.
Magistrates also ordered him to complete a 12-month period of supervision with the Probation Service to include 20 rehabilitation activity requirement days.
He must also complete 100 hours of unpaid work in the community over the next 12 months, court records show.
Magistrates also issued a restraining order, banning him from contacting the woman in any way or to go to her home address until January 2025.

Hide AdHe must also pay a total of £400 in compensation, but no prosecution costs or victim surcharge were awarded by the court.
