Sprotbrough: A thief forced entry to the Richmond House care home on Tennyson Avenue last night and went into a number of bedrooms to steal about £5,000 worth of watches and jewellery belonging to residents.

Intake: A laptop was stolen from a house in Athol Crescent when it was burgled via an insecure window yesterday.

Braithwell: A mower, strimmer and wellies were stolen form a shed in Holywell Crescent on Thursday night and there was an attempt to force another shed on the same street.

Bessacarr: A £500 Stihl saw was taken from a container on a building site on Bawtry Road on Thursday night.

Wheatley Hills: A laptop in a sports bag was stolen when a thief smashed the window of a Toyota parked in Hilltop Crescent.

Barnby Dun: The occupant of a house in Church Road disturbed a thief trying to steal lead flashing form the bay window roof at 2.20am yesterday, and lead stolen from the garage of a property in Ancient Lane, Hatfield Woodhouse.

Conisbrough: Another bus shelter has been damaged, in Gardens Lane, where a £300 panel was kicked out.
