Doncaster crime round-up: spate of burglaries

The following offences took place on Friday October 31 to Sunday November 2. Anyone with information call South Yorkshire Police on 101.

Balby: Residents are being warned to be vigilant after a distraction burglary. Thieves gained entry to a property in Roberts Road around 8.30am on Sunday and stole £5 in cash after knocking on various addresses and trying to get the occupants to got to the back door whilst they entered in the front.

Intake: Thieves stole around £800 of items at a burglary in Wolsey Avenue between Tuesday October 28 and Sunday November 2.

Hyde Park: Thieves stole a mobile phone from an address in Somerset Road on Sunday during the daytime.

Sprotbrough: A car and around £2,500 of items were stolen during a burglary in Sprotbrough Road that happened between Friday October 31 and Sunday November 2. A £500 Renault car was amongst the items stolen.

Austerfield: Thieves broke into a house in Newington Road around 6pm on Saturday. Nothing was taken but a window was smashed during the incident.

Intake: A car was broken into on Argyll Avenue between Sunday at 9pm and 6am Monday. Items stolen included a ladder and vacuum cleaner.

Bessacarr: A car window was smashed by thieves at the Doncaster Dome car park over the weekend. Thieves didn’t manage to escape with anything.
