Doncaster Council has blasted fly-tippers who dumped an OVEN at a local beauty spot.

The authority has hit out after the cooker was dumped at Sprotbrough Falls.

A spokesman said: “We couldn’t quite believe what was found at Sprotbrough Falls recently.

“Yes that is AN OVEN fly-tipped right in the middle of the woods!

“If you’re going to go to all the effort of deciding to get rid of your oven, calling a friend to help you lift it into your vehicle, lifting it in to your vehicle, getting in your vehicle and driving it somewhere and stopping somewhere and taking it out of your vehicle (with same friend for help) then please don't decide to ruin an area of natural beauty, there are plenty of other ways to get rid of white goods like this.”

The warning comes amid the council’s Check Before You Chuck campaign, urging people not to fly tip.
