Dog dies after Staffordshire Bull Terrier attack in Doncaster

Police are appealing for witnesses after a Staffordshire Bull Terrier attack left another dog dead and its owners hospitalised.

It is reported that on Monday (7 September) at around 9:45pm the couple were walking their dog in Hill Top Field, Conisbrough when a second dog approached and attacked them.

Both victims suffered wounds to their hands and arms which required hospital treatment. Their dog was also seriously injured and had to undergo emergency surgery. It has since passed away.

The dog which attacked them is reported to be a large brindle ‘Staffy’ breed. Its reported owner is described as a tall, skinny woman with dark hair tied in a ponytail. She is believed to have been wearing a black puffer jacket.

Police are asking for anyone who saw what happened to come forward. If you have information which could help officers, call 101 quoting incident number 967 of 7 September.
