Disruption at Doncaster station as man is arrested for trespassing on tracks

Trains were forced to stop and passengers were “not allowed off” when a man trespassed onto the tracks at Doncaster railway station this afternoon (February 19).

British Transport Police were called to the station at 4.16pm to the station following reports of the trespass and a man has been arrested and remains in custody.

Alex Rollin, who was waiting at the station at the time, said: “It was quite chaotic. There was a lot if disruption.

“A man jumped down onto the railway line and the trains had to stop and were delayed.

“They were not allowing passengers off the trains for a bit.

“The man was dragged back from the tracks and he was shouting and screaming.”

The man is not reported to have been injured in any way and was dealt with by police.

The delays are believed to be over and services have resumed at the station.
