Dearne man accused of overnight crime spree in town

A Dearne man has appeared in court charged in connection with an overnight crime spree.

Brian Morley, of Beechlea, Thurnscoe, is accused of aggravated vehicle taking, theft and burglary offences.

The 32-year-old appeared at Doncaster Magistrates Court on Wednesday, February 19, and was remanded in custody.

He will next appear before a judge at Sheffield Crown Court on Wednesday, March 5.

A spokeswoman for South Yorkshire Police said he is charged in connection with crimes in Skellow, Doncaster.

Police were called to investigate after a Ford Granada was stolen from outside a property on Charles Street.

This was followed by a burglary shortly afterwards at a property on Crossfield House Lane and then a theft from a motor vehicle on Buttercross Close.

Police said all of the alleged crimes took place overnight on Monday, February 17.
