The following people appeared at Doncaster Magistrates Court charged with the following offences...

Hyde PARK: A motorist is out of pocket after driving through a no entry sign. Akmal Shahzad, 26, of Elmfield Road admitted running the sign on July 9 along Ashfield Road in Balby. As part of his punishment he was ordered to pay £110 and was given three penalty points.

Thorne: A man has been made the subject of a community order after admitting assaulting a woman. Glen Young, 33, of Glebe Road, was also ordered to pay £210 after admitting beating the woman on October 7.

Woodlands: A pet owner discovered a dog is not always man’s best friend after being made the subject of a community order. Michael Andrew Biggins, 34, of Princess Street, admitted failing to control his Rhodesian Ridgeback Cross which was dangerously out of control in Lakeside and injured a woman. As part of his punishment he was ordered to pay £600 in compensation and carry out 100 hours unpaid work. Biggins was also ordered to keep his dog Bobby under control with a muzzle and lead and exclude the dog from Lakeside. If he does not abide by these Biggins was warned that the dog may be destroyed.
